The apparent \u201cindependence\u201d of the selected image, is purely an act of selective perception.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>There is no reflected object disconnected from its total field of reflections, beyond one\u2019s \u201cmental act\u201d of selectively isolating a particular pattern of light and color.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:html --><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h6>This is how our human perception works.<\/h6>\n<p>The universe and all appearances are always in a state of inseparability and Wholeness. Our mind draws artificial lines delineating and highlighting one object out of its unbroken web of non-dual oneness. There are no separate objects or persons other than as conceptually and fictionally isolated.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:html --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This is essentially what our capacity of \u201cselective attention\u201d is constantly engaging in; like out-lining or highlighting inseparable parts from their context of Wholeness.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This process is exactly what \u201cconceptualizing\u201d is busy doing. The mind targets a perceptual pattern within the unbroken field of experience, gives it a name and meaning, while believing that it now exists as an object-entity, independent and apart from its total web of Wholeness.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The conceptualizing mind in this way creates the illusion of there being separate persons existing independent from each other, and independent of one\u2019s \u201cown\u201d out-lined self image.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>We then live in the imaginary world of these conceptual abstractions.
